Acres of Hope: Appeal for Liberian Orphans
Acres of Hope, an orphanage in Liberia, found itself facing critical food and supply issues in the face of the 2014 Ebola crisis. My neighbor, a board member of a local adoption group which partners with AOH, asked for my assistance in producing a video that would help AOH raise funds via crowdsourcing. The resulting video was produced pro bono in less than a month with the assistance of a Columbia College student and Chicago production firms Cutters and Sonixphere.
As far as results, it was good news/bad news. Donations to the effort were disappointing, but this was mainly due to its release coinciding with the welcome news that the Ebola virus had begun to retreat. (My role: Creative Director, Producer.)
